Free Camping & Plein Air Painting At Carcoar, NSW.

Spent the last few days of autumn at Carcoar, near Bathurst in New South Wales with fellow painter, Ben Milne.  Great free camping in the Council showground. Beautiful, historic town and surrounding area.   Found great spot to paint just above the town, beside a disused rail track.   Below are photos of my works in progress and the campsite and my dinner for one on the last night.

Paintings of a Greek Holiday

My niece, Camille and her partner, Andrew celebrated their 30th birthdays on the Greek Islands,  along with my sister Dot and her husband, John.  On request, I completed two paintings as mementos of their trip.  Below is the finished work. Although the frames are not shown in the photos, these were my first self-framed work.   The first image is a scene near Fira Santoria. The second image is of Little Venice, Mykonos.

Beating the Framing Blues

Busy framing my own work at the moment.  It’s been a big learning curve but feel like I’m getting there.   Can’t wait to get back to the painting.  Here are a couple of paintings I completed in the studio end of last year.
