Marking the end of 2018, below are two paintings of Carcoar in Autumn. one of my favorite places from this year.
Sofala
Just completed this work. Happy with the framing which I did myself.
The Darling River, Wilcannia
Just finished this painting which I started a year ago whilst camping in the area.
I was drawn to this scene because of the contrast between the stillness
of the river and the archaic character of the landscape.
Broken Hill Painting Trip
Spent three weeks exploring the great Australian outback. It was a great experience travelling and painting in such a huge and varied landscape. Stunning colours! Whilst remote from humanity, plenty of natural wildlife. We were alone out there but not alone. Great place to contemplate and get totally involved in my work.
Eagle’s View – Finalist Muswellbrook Art Prize
Road from Carcoar
Here’s a work I started on an autumn painting trip to Carcoar. Now finished and framed by me, hanging on my wall.
